Why Membership?

Abi

When Peter preached on the day of Pentecost, the Bible tells us; "Those who accepted his message were baptised, and about three thousand were added to their number that day" (Acts 2:41).

The verses which follow describe the devoted community life they shared together as a result of their new found faith in Jesus. The New Testament also speaks about being members of the body of Christ and members of God’s family or household. Put simply, members are the church!

Looking at Membership

We believe that all Christians should find a church where they can be devoted to God and to one another, accountable to leaders and playing their part in church life. If you are interested in finding out more about Grace Church, why not come along to "Looking at Membership", where we explain our vision and values and what membership involves more fully. You will also get the opportunity to ask any questions and decide if this is the right church for you.

Currently we run "Looking at Membership" on a regular Sunday at Notts County. This means you can meet your friends as usual and if you have children they can go to their groups but instead of staying in for all the worship and preach time, the "Looking at Membership" group will move to another room where we talk through our values until coffee time. Then afterwards, the whole group has lunch together at Nick and Penny Sharp's home in Bramcote. Nick and Penny will also tell the story behind Grace Church and answer any questions.
